eta(3)-Phosphinoketene complexes of tungsten Cp(CO)ClW[eta(3)-P(Ph(2))
-C(R)=C=O] (R=Me, Ph) react with hydrogen chloride under protonation o
f the ketene oxygen atom converting the ketene into a new cyclobutenol
system. The products have been characterized by H-1, C-13, P-31 NMR.
