Abstract
The benzo-bridged, heterocyclic compounds [E(Cl)S-2-1,2]C6H2[4,5-S(2)E (Cl)] (E = P (1), As (2), Sb (3), Bi (4)) have been obtained as air-st able solids from the reaction of ECl(3) with 1,2,4,5-(HS)(4)C6H2 in di ethyl ether. 1-4 are insoluble in common solvents and have been charac terized mainly by elemental analyses and their infrared and mass spect ra.
