Abstract
6,6-Dimethylfulvene reacts with CO(C2H4)(PMe(3))(3) to give a diamagne tic dicobalt complex containing a novel bis (eta(5),eta(2))-chelating hydrocarbon ligand which is a tetramer of 6,6-dimethylfulvene. C,C-cou pling via radicals induces multiple chirality in the ligand and the st ructurally characterized stereoisomer adopts a (S,R,R,S) configuration (meso form).
