Abstract
Lithiation of 3-dimethylaminomethyl- and 3-dimethylaminoethyl-1-methox yindole occurred regioselectively at the 2-position. 2-Substituted 3-d imethylaminomethyl-1-methoxyindoles were lithiated at the 4-position.
