Abstract
Temperature-dependent Tm-169 Mossbauer measurements are reported for t he ternary intermetallic compounds TmT2Ge2 (T = Fe, Cu). Based on comp arison with results for their TmT2Si2 counterparts, it is verified tha t the T constituent has the more significant influence on the crystal field interaction at the rare-earth site.
