Vc. Prabhu et al., MAGNETIC-RESONANCE ANGIOGRAPHY IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF TRAUMATIC VERTEBROBASILAR COMPLICATIONS - A REPORT OF 2 CASES, Surgical neurology, 42(3), 1994, pp. 245-248
Although conventional arteriography is usually performed to study the
vertebrobasilar system, we report two cases of traumatic vertebrobasil
ar vascular occlusion that were diagnosed by magnetic resonance angiog
raphy. This enabled us to promptly treat the patients. Our experience
suggests that magnetic resonance angiography may be a useful diagnosti
c tool in the setting of acute vertebrobasilar complications, associat
ed with cervical spine trauma.
