Granulocytic sarcoma (GS) is a solid form of leukemia. It may occur be
fore, simultaneous with, or after the onset of systemic leukemia. More
than 400 cases of GS are reported in the literature. However, only si
x cases involve the nasal cavity, none of which take origin from the n
asal septum. In this pager, we report the first case of granulocytic s
arcoma to occur On the nasal septum in a patient with chronic myelomon
ocytic leukemia. In addition, we review the currently accepted modalit
ies for the diagnosis and treatment of these tumors.
