T. Wada et al., DEVELOPMENT OF THE IMAGE TRANSMISSION DEVICE FOR HIGH-RESOLUTION COLOR STILL IMAGES, GT-1000 (IMAGE TALK), Sharp giho, (60), 1994, pp. 55-60
The image transmission device for high resolution color still images,
GT-1000 (Image Talk) has been developed. It uses the ITU-T recommendat
ion T.81 (JPEG) as a image coding method and the TTC standard JJ-41.10
as communications protocol. A high resolution color still image (768
x 480 pixels) can be transmitted over an ISDN line in 6 seconds by usi
ng newly developed LSIs: one single chip CODEC and three gate arrays.
The system realizes a low price desktop teleconference system by utili
zing a twin lens camera that can capture an image up to the size of A3
paper and both a FDD and a HDD for image filing.
