Abstract
It is said that higher resolution and multi-media availability are the primary issues in 1990s in the field of computer display. VGA compati ble with TFT-LCDs 640RGBx480 picture elements and XGA compatible with 1024RGBx768 have been largely mass-produced at present, using 3-bit di gital data drivers. Lately, we have developed a 26 cm (10.4-inch) diag onal TFT-LCD module that uses a newly developed 8-bit digital data dri ver. We propose it as a multi-media display for computers.
