Abstract
C-5-branched vinyltin acetals 1 and 2 obtained by stannylmetallation o f homopropargyl acetals with Bu(3)SnMgMe in the presence of cuprous cy anide have been proved to be efficient storable precursors for the syn thesis of terpenoids.
