Methyl glycylglycinate(aqueous) reacted with C-60 in chlorobenzene at
110-120 degrees C by adding a few drops of bromine in 2mL of 2N NaOH a
nd 0.6g of tetrabutylammonium chloride (phase transfer catalyst) to fo
rm the adduct compound. The product was-isolated by column chromatogra
phy and identified by FD-MS, UV-Vis, IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR to be a C-6
0-derivatized Dipeptide.
