Abstract
Melting by electron bombardment is a technique in full expansion for t he elaboration of titanium alloys for the aeronautics industry. In ord er to represent the behaviour of the liquid metal in the overflow furn ace or in the refining hearth, a mathematical model was used. It calcu lates the flow of the liquid metal as well as the temperature field in the overflow furnace.
