Abstract
We have identified a sequencing error in the neutral trehalase-encodin g gene NTH1 [Kopp et al., J, Biol. Chem, 268 (1993) 4766-4774]. This e rror extends the deduced amino acid (aa) sequence at the N terminus by 58 aa. The biological implications of this include the presence of an additional phosphorylation site, which is believed to regulate trehal ose hydrolysis.
