Abstract
The anomalous diffusion coefficient in a turbulent plasma with destroy ed magnetic surfaces can be defined in two independent ways. The first one requires the evaluation of the mean square displacement of a part icle described by a stochastic Langevin equation; The second one start s from the correlation between the magnetic fluctuation and the fluctu ating distribution function, to be obtained from a kinetic equation. T he two approaches are critically compared.
