Abstract
This paper proposes a representation of exponential form (EF) in fuzzy logic. By EF any fuzzy value a (in fuzzy valued logic or fuzzy lingui stic valued logic) can be represented as B-c, where B is called the tr uth base and c the confidence exponent. The basic idea of this form an d its properties are discussed. By using a different truth base, the e xponential form can be applied to represent positive and negative logi c in fuzzy valued logic as well as fuzzy linguistic valued logic. Some applications of EF for approximate reasoning and fuzzy neural network s are also introduced in this paper.
