Abstract
The analysis of almost all the known specimens belonging to the subgen us Cantharoplatys, allows the authors to establish that it includes on ly 3 species : C. (Cantharoplatys) kraatzi Thomson, 1860, C. (C.)fairm airei Lameere, 1902 and C. (C.) plicipennis Fairmaire, 1887. The subge nus Paracantharocenemis Plavilstshtkov is unvalided.
