Five new species of Thysanoptera collected in Senegal are described :
Mesandrothrips ananthakrishnani, n. sp., Priesneriella vercambrei, n.
sp., Claustrothrips senegalensis, n. sp., Hoplandrothrips casamancae,
n. sp, and Retiothrips bambusae, n. sp. Two of them needed the creatio
n of new genera: Claustrothrips, n. g. and Retiothrips, n. g. Moreover
two other species, already known from Egypt, were found in Senegal :
Acaciothrips ebneri (Karny) and Liothrips willcocksi (Bag), both in ga
lls of Acacia nilotica.
