Abstract
Quantitative genetic variability for six characters was estimated in f our populations of the annual plant, Collinsia heterophylla, with esti mated selfing rates ranging from 0.36 to 0.68. Based on large samples of parental plants, all four populations showed significant genetic va riation for two or more characters, and there was no sign that the mor e selfing populations had lower amounts of genetic variance or lower h eritability values. Autogamous fruit set rates in the absence of polli nators also showed significant heritability in one population.
