Abstract
Calcification of tendinous structures around the hip joint is an impor tant but rare cause of acute groin pain. We present a case of acute ca lcific tendinitis affecting gluteus medius in a man of 46 and discuss the role of magnetic resonance imaging in the diagnosis.
