Abstract
An easy and efficient procedure for converting a binary number into a residue number on moduli 2n-1,2n,2n+1 is presented. The procedure pres ented reveals an inversion technique. The paper also includes a system atic method to compare the magnitudes of two residue numbers on the ab ove moduli. The conversion procedure does not depend on Chinese remain der theorem.
