Abstract
''Know the enemy'' to fight it easier. This thought of Flammer [15] ma y summarize the purpose of that paper, which reviews current knowledge on that complex disease. The problem is far from being easy, speciall y for the veterinary surgeon when faced with a suspected bird. Particu lar attention has been focused on the biology of Chlamydia psittaci an d its laboratory diagnosis.
