Abstract
A discussion of the U(1)-problem and its solution is presented in the context of Anisotropic Chrome Dynamics (ACD), a theory which describes finite-energy quantum fluctuations around a non-perturbative vacuum. This solution does not have the difficulty of the strong CP-problem wh ich is cause of trouble for other proposed solutions. In addition a ca lculation of the masses and mixing angle of eta and eta' mesons is car ried out in good agreement with experimental values.
