Abstract
The title guanidinium carboxylate (2) was prepared from tert-butyl 2-b romomethylacrylate (3) using an 11-reaction sequence in 12% overall yi eld. Sequential addition of two differentiated amino groups to the sta rting acrylate played a key role in the synthesis.
