Abstract
Political science doctoral dissertation bibliographies were examined f or types of materials used in advanced graduate research. Following pa tterns established in other social science disciplines, political scie nce dissertations use materials indicative of their disciplinary inter est and are journal and serials dependent. It is suggested that collec tion development can benefit from a limited citation analysis of docto ral dissertation research.
