Abstract
The depth of plastic zones and of structural changes in a material und er the surface of fractures of steel and D16 aluminum alloy are determ ined by an x-ray method. The fractures are obtained by a static, shock , high-velocity pulse and by cyclic and shock-cyclic forms of loading over a wide temperature range.
