O. Yesilada et al., THE USE OF WHITE-ROT FUNGUS FUNALIA-TROGII (MALATYA) FOR THE DECOLORIZATION AND PHENOL REMOVAL FROM OLIVE MILL WASTE-WATER, Environmental technology, 16(1), 1995, pp. 95-100
The aerobic digestion of olive mill wastewater (OMW) in static and agi
tated cultures was studied. The white rot fungus Funalia trogii showed
31% and 38% colour removal and 77% and 72% phenol removal in static a
nd agitated cultures. 40% chemical oxygen demand (COD) reduction was a
lso obtained.
