Abstract
Planetary visions seen in prolonged near-death experiences from 1950 t o 1980 consistently predicted an escalation of natural and human disas ters reaching a peak around 1988. At that time, either there would be an apocalypse, or it could be postponed if human beings increased thei r love of God, other people, and the Earth itself. Positive geopolitic al shifts and increases in long range trends in global care correlate with decreases in long range trends in disastrous weather, each changi ng around 1988. I examine this apparently successful precognitive pred iction of collective psychokinesis (a possible form of macro-PK) from several perspectives. First, I review the history of apocalyptic proph ecy to identify what is new and different about this source of prophec y. Second, I critique the supporting data for precision, completeness, reliability, and validity. Third, I suggest additional ways to test t his form of precognitive prediction and the possibility of collective psychokinesis.
