The levels of antibodies to bacterial (tuberculin, staphylococcus, pne
umococcus, streptococcus) and viral (herpes, measles, rubella, parotid
itis, influenza) antigens were determined in 39 patients with trigemin
al neuralgia (TN) aggravation of which 25 were untreated, while 14 had
received a course of the cadaveric nerve specific tissue therapy. 46
healthy subjects and 31 patients with trigeminal neuropathy served con
trol. The study proved that TN patients had significantly increased le
vels of herpes virus antibodies (p less-than-or-equal-to 0.01). The ab
ove tissue therapy stimulated production of antibodies to rubella and
parotiditis viruses.
