When observing healthy women and breast cancer patients in some of the
m in reaction of passive hemagglutinization there were found blood ant
ibodies to membrane components of human adipose tissue. The frequency
of autoantibodies detection to ''pure'' antigen (got by means of colla
genase and ultracentrifugation in percoll gradient) in breast cancer p
atients 1.7-fold exceeded that one in healthy women. The mentioned ant
ibodies were more frequently found in patients with central (''upper''
) type of fat deposition, and their higher titer was observed in patie
nts and healthy women with hyperlipidemia. Tumor factors probably infl
uence the development (progression) of autoimmune process in adipose t
issue.
