A new species of moss frog, genus Arthroleptella, is described from th
e Kleinrivier mountains of the south-western Cape. It is morphological
ly indistinguishable from the other three species in the area. The fou
r Cape species are allopatric, each has a unique male advertisement ca
ll, and preliminary molecular data shows consistent differences.
