Abstract
Syntheses of some ethyl l-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidin-2-one-5-carboxyl ates and ethyl ,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidin-2-thione-5-carboxylates in u nsealed vessels by microwave irradiation using ethanol as energy trans fer medium is reported. There has been a considerable increase in the reaction rate with better yields.
