The laws of electromagnetic-acoustic conversion (EMAC) of bulk waves i
n ferrites are studied analytically in comparison with conducting magn
etic materials. The physical processes responsible for the behavior of
EMAC when the electrical conductivity varies are considered and the m
ain components of the forces that determine the efficiency of generati
on in those two cases are isolated. The EMAC efficiency in ferrites is
shown to be always higher than in conducting magnetic materials and t
he difference is maximum for uniform EMAC.
