P. Binetruy et al., DILATON STABILIZATION IN THE CONTEXT OF DYNAMICAL SUPERSYMMETRY BREAKING THROUGH GAUGINO CONDENSATION, Nuclear physics. B, 481(1-2), 1996, pp. 109-128
We study gaugino condensation in the context of superstring effective
theories using the linear multiplet formulation for the dilaton superf
ield. Including non-perturbative corrections to the Kahler potential f
or the dilaton may naturally achieve dilaton stabilization, with super
symmetry breaking and gaugino condensation; these three issues are int
errelated in a very simple way. In a toy model with a single static co
ndensate, a dilaton vev is found within a phenomenologically interesti
ng range. The effective theory differs significantly from condensate m
odels studied previously in the chiral formulation.
