Abstract
Poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) based solid polymer electrolyte with NaYF4 salt has been prepared and investigated by IR, optical absorption and transport number measurements. The material is found to be a mixed (io nic + electronic) conductor. An electrochemical cell with the configur ation Na/PEO + NaYF4/(I2 + C + electrolyte) has been prepared and stud ied its characteristics for which the open circuit voltage (OCV) and s hort circuit current (SCC) are 2.4 V and 8 muA respectively. A number of cell parameters evaluated are also reported.
