Abstract
The recently developed technique of NQR imaging via field cycling has been used to image N-14 nuclei in a test sample of acetamide and salic ylamide. The image obtained is spatially resolved in one dimension and is also obtained as a function of the /0) --> /+) transition frequenc y. The imaging plane is generated by two collinear solenoids wound wit h opposite handedness. In the field-cycling experiment, the N-14 /0) - -> /+) transition is saturated throughout the sample except at the ima ging plane where the magnitude of the RF field, /B-1/, is near zero.
