Abstract
Although oxygen donor ligands are common in lanthanide chemistry and S m(II) complexes are being extensively investigated, no crystallographi cally characterized Sm(II) complexes containing only oxygen donor liga nds have been previously reported. The first example shown here has be en isolated as a potassium ''ate'' complex which has an extended struc ture due to potassium arene and aryloxide bridging.
