Abstract
In contrast to what is suggested by Gupta (Gupta, A. P. 1994. Insect a natomy-morphology: quo vadis? Ann. Entomol. Sec. Am. 87: 147-156), ins ect morphology does not have to be pursued at the molecular level to b e cutting edge. For example, biomechanical analyses of morphology allo w new knowledge and predictive relationships from new interpretations of morphology.
