Abstract
The Pr-Fe-B phase diagram was determined in the low boron regions of t he ternary system. It is presented and discussed in terms of four vert ical sections, a polythermic projection and a Scheil diagram. Six tern ary invariant reactions are found in the region investigated: a perite ctic maximum, a eutectic maximum, three transition reactions, and a de generate reaction. The final solidification sequence, with the degener ate reaction, can also be applied to Nd-Fe-B.
