Abstract
This article is an overview of the management of femoral shaft fractur es resulting from gunshot wounds. It deals with the initial patient ev aluation, operative techniques of fracture stabilization and wound car e, associated complications, and the postoperative rehabilitation of t hese complex fractures. The recommendations are based upon a large pat ient experience in an urban trauma center.
