Abstract
Theoretical aspects of polychlorinated bornanes - the major part of te chnical toxaphene - and the composition of technical toxaphene were co mpared with results derived from multidimensional gas chromatograph an alysis of the multicomponent mixture. Stereochemical aspects and a com mon nomenclature for polychlorinated bornanes are presented. Considera tions of the persistence of some toxaphene compounds are made.
