Determining the order of occurrence where writing intersects with othe
r writing or with typing is a matter of continuing interest to forensi
c document examiners. The following account describes a situation wher
e the intersecting writings had been made on the top sheet of a carbon
less copy set. Movement of the top sheet relative to the copy sheet, b
etween the writing of the intersecting words, produced features in the
copy writing which enabled the order of the original writings to be d
etermined.
