An integration methodology Is presented for computing fields backscatt
ered bg the cylinder-ground double bounce scattering mechanism, in whi
ch randomly tilted, finite length dielectric cylinders stand on a slig
htly rough lossy surface. Based on the Stratton-Chu integral technique
, incorporating exact solutions of fields scattered by the cylinders,
the method yields like- and cross-polarized responses and polarization
phase differences. Numerical results are reported.
