Mg. Boyeson et Rl. Harmon, ACUTE AND POSTACUTE DRUG-INDUCED EFFECTS ON RATE OF BEHAVIORAL RECOVERY AFTER BRAIN INJURY, The journal of head trauma rehabilitation, 9(3), 1994, pp. 78-90
This review discusses recent advances in pharmacological treatments of
brain injury that affect the rate at which behavioral recovery occurs
in animals and humans. Treatment strategies aimed at the very early p
ostinjury stage and the later recovery stage, along with proposed mech
anisms underlying such treatment, will be critically assessed with res
pect to clinical management.
