Abstract
The designation of the galaxies in NGC 4496 is in considerable confusi on. The cross-identification table of these galaxies (i.e. PGC 41450, PGC 41471 and PGC 41473) in various catalogues is presented in this no te and the unified designations of these galaxies are recommended.
