Abstract
After describing the anatomical situation of the genital system in the male degu (Octodon degus Molina), advices for anaesthesia are given a nd a method for castration is described. The connection between testes and seminal vesicle gland, which is unique to this species, requires special efforts in surgical preparation technique.
