Abstract
If there exist a constituent quark resonance, we find by using the Adl er-Weisberger relation and the finite-energy sum rule for pion quark s cattering that it must be very massive and must have a large decay wid th. Our results indicate that the presence of the constituent quark ex citations does not contradict the observed low lying hadron spectrum.
