Abstract
A pair of spin rotators has been installed in the electron ring of HER A. Longitudinal spin polarizations up to 65% have been reached reprodu cibly during dedicated measurement time. This is the first time that l ongitudinal spin polarization has been produced in a high energy elect ron storage ring.
