Abstract
Analysis of constraints, which are imposed on correctness of conclusio ns drawn from the studies of the spectrum-correlation model of cortex electrical activity, and necessity of enlarging interaction forms whic h have to be studied, brought to development a new index for estimatin g spatial order of cortex electrical processes. This index and the tec hnique were called ''multiple entropy'' (ME). The algorithm of calcula ting ME and its properties are discussed. The results of studying spat ial structure of cortex electrical processes by estimating their spati al synchronization and ME were compared. It was shown that these appro aches complemented each other. Using both these techniques in combinat ion gives more complete picture of integration of cortex processes.
