Nuclear reaction excitation functions producing radioactive and stable
isotopes at interaction of deuterons, He-3 ions and alpha-particles w
ith silicon within the energy range to 100 MeV have been investigated
experimentally and theoretically. Excitation functions have been measu
red for long-living nuclides Na-22, Na-24, Mg-28. Excitation functions
have been calculated for isotopes from S to Na in assumption of the m
echanism promoting formation of a compound nucleus (ALICE LIVERMORE co
de). It is shown that the model applied predicts the basic character o
f excitation functions thoung cross-sections derived for some reaction
s are sufficiently lower than the measured ones, which is probably, a
result of other mechanism effects. Transmutation coefficients for chem
ical elements of Si deuterons, He-3 ions and alpha-particles irradiati
on are calculated.
