Temperature dependences of resistivity rho and of the Hall coefficient
R(H) over the wide range of low temperatures 1.5-300 K as well as mag
netoresistance (MR) at T less-than-or-equal-to 4.2 K have been studied
for a number of whisker-like crystals of the Te - Se solid solutions
with the Se content from 0 to 2.3%. The dependences rho(T) have a mini
mum at T = 20 - 40 K and are described by the law rho = a - blgT at T
< T(min). The magnitude of rho and slope of the rho approximately - lg
T-dependence nonmonotonously depend on the Se content. The transverse
MR for the samples studied is positive over the whole magnetic field r
ange and for all values of the Se content. Its dependence on the magne
tic field has quadratic and linear parts. The longitudional MR in cont
rast to the transverse one in the weak-field range 0-0.6 T has small n
egative MR. The particulars observed for rho(T) and MR are discussed i
n terms of the low-temperature conductivity model taking into account
the Kondo effect.
